What promotes well-being and mental health during the transition from adolescence to adulthood?

Our Research

Members of the Lifespan Well-Being Laboratory investigate risk, resilience, and patterns of change in well-being and mental health in the context of stressful life course experiences. Current research focuses on the transition to adulthood. The uncertainty, increased responsibility, and demands on self-direction that typify this transition can increase stress and lower well-being and mental health. Our goal is to identify factors that promote well-being and reduce risk during this life course period.
