Student Well-Being Project

Many university students experience elevated stress.

The Student Well-Being Project aims to identify different patterns of stress and distress across the academic year. To achieve this aim, we have tracked student stress and well-being across the academic year. This is important because different students may benefit from different interventions depending on when and how they experience stress. Although universities currently deliver a variety of interventions and services to help students, knowing when particular students are more likely to experience distress will help to refine intervention delivery on university campuses. Improving the identification of at-risk students and delivering targeted interventions tailored to the specific needs of students when they need them will benefit more students in the short term and in the long term.
